Results of the second phase of de spécial recrutement of teatchers in the state Universities of Bertoua, Ebolowa and Garoua

In view of the risks involved in the transportation of funds by students, the Rector of the University of Bertoua and Mobile Money Corporation went in to a signing of a convention which was signed today May 15, 2024 in a serene atmosphere in the Salle des actes of the Rectorate of the University of Bertoua. The convention was chaired by the Rector of the University of Bertoua Pr. Dieudonne Emmanuel PEGNYEMB. The Rector gave the MMC a warmth welcome to his institution and he urged the MMC to work towards the success of the project "in strict compliance with the laws of the Republic and with university ethics and deontology".

As a prelude to the 60th anniversary of the ENGLISH TEACHING FORUM , the École Normale Supérieure of the University of Bertoua welcomed a delegation from the US Embassy, led by Dr Kate Reynold.

Appointed on 09 April, Professor Dieudonné Emmanuel PEGNYEMB was installed on 17 April 2024 by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Professor Jacques Fame NDONGO. The ceremony was held at the Place des Fêtes in Bertoua in the presence of several personalities. They came to pay a well-deserved tribute to the new Rector who, in addition to his rich academic and administrative career, is presented as a perceptive leader who listens to and serves the educational community. Taking the floor, the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, declared: ‘A seasoned chemist replaces a sparkling mathematician’. In view of the impressive professional and administrative record of the new Rector, I have no doubt whatsoever that he will be able to steer the University of Bertoua with dexterity, tenacity and inventiveness. In fulfilling his mission, the new Rector will have to invest rigorously in the implementation of University 4.0, with the appropriation of artificial intelligence with a view to extending digital technology. He must also work to operationalise the concept of the inter-university partnership, which is firmly enshrined in the new law on the orientation of the Ministry of Higher Education, promulgated by the Head of State on 27 July 2023. This will enable the Universities to create wealth, to create jobs and to give the means to the students to enable them to live normally their teaching", specified the Chancellor of the Academic Orders who asked the happy elected one to continue with rigour the work begun by his predecessor, Pr Rémy Magloire ETOUA. These are some of the tasks assigned to the new Rector of the University of Bertoua. The new Rector said he was ready to make the University of Bertoua an environment conducive to achieving the objectives and performances set out by the Minister of Higher Education. The ceremony was also an opportunity for parents, friends and colleagues to present gifts of thanks to ¨Pr Jacques FAME NDONGO and the incoming and outgoing Rectors. Originally from Ndom in the department of Sanaga-Maritime, Pr Dieudonné Emmanuel PEGNYEMB is married with several children.
